Yoga La La was conceived by Kristina Lanuza, in collaboration with Damien B. Davis, to unite the art of inner awakening with performance and artistic expression — grounded in the belief that human development and evolution are not passive pursuits, but lived ones.
American Yoga, the Musical
Concocted by two friends - Kristina Lanuza aka Sumukhi Devi and Heather Osterman-Davis - who met during Yoga teacher training at a big box gym long ago, American Yoga, the Musical is a divine wink and a satirical nod at an ancient practice from India beloved by many throughout the world and in this beautiful (oftentimes polarized) mess we call America.

Choreography & Cast I met Sire at Ballet Austin and thought he was perfect for Darshan, our narrator, and to help with choreography.
Musicians
Jason McKenzie
Jason McKenzie is a drummer, tabla player, and producer with a background in jazz and world music. He studied tabla at the Ali Akbar Khan College of Music and in India, and has performed internationally, including touring with Matt Nathanson and the Austin-based world music group Atash. His recording and performance credits include work with Alexi Murdoch, as well as appearances with Billy Joe Shaver and Willie Nelson, including a performance on the David Letterman show. In addition to his work as a performer, he contributes as a producer, bringing a cross-cultural perspective to contemporary recordings.

Lukas Duhon
Lukas Duhon is an Austin-based singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, audio engineer & the frontman for Lukas Duhon and the Low Bones. Dual degree graduate from Austin Community College in Music & Audio Engineering. This background in both the performance and technical sides of the craft informs his approach to songwriting and arrangement. Currently, his work focuses on original composition and multi-instrumental performance within the Austin music scene.
